1. The Core Principle: Your Data Never Leaves Your Browser
QRGenPlus is a 100% serverless, client-side web application. This is not a marketing claim — it is a technical fact about how the software is architected. When you use our QR code generator, every computation happens inside your own web browser using JavaScript. There is no QRGenPlus server that receives your input, processes it, and sends back a result.
This means:
- The URL you paste into the Link tab is encoded into a QR matrix pattern by your browser's JavaScript engine — not by our servers.
- The text you type into the Text tab is processed entirely locally.
- Your WiFi network name (SSID) and password entered into the WiFi tab never travel over any network connection to any external service.
- File share links pasted into the File tab are processed locally before being encoded.
To be absolutely explicit: we do not have servers that receive QR content. There is no database storing your QR data. There is no API endpoint that your inputs are sent to. The QR code generation library (qrcode-styling) runs entirely in your browser sandbox.
2. What Information We Do Not Collect
The following categories of data are never collected, stored, or processed by QRGenPlus at any time:
- Personal Identifiers: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or any government-issued identifier.
- Device Identifiers: We do not collect your IP address (our static hosting infrastructure may log it transiently — see Section 7), device fingerprints, MAC address, or browser fingerprints.
- QR Code Content: The URLs, text, WiFi credentials, or file links you enter into our tool are never transmitted to us. They are encoded locally and exist only in the QR image on your screen.
- Behavioural Data: We do not use session recording tools (such as Hotjar), heatmap analytics, or click-tracking scripts.
- Search Queries: We do not track what you search for on our guides section.
- Financial Data: QRGenPlus has no payment system. We have never and will never collect financial information.
- Biometric Data: We collect no facial recognition data, voiceprints, or any other biometric identifiers.
- Location Data: We do not request your GPS location, IP-derived location, or any geographic data.
3. What Information We May Collect
In the interest of full transparency, here is the very limited data that may be associated with your visit:
Contact Form Submissions
If you choose to contact us using the email address on our Contact page (contact.html), you are sending an email directly to support@qrgenplus.com. We will receive whatever information you voluntarily include in that email (your email address, name, and message). This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not shared with any third party.
Aggregated Analytics (Future)
We may in the future add privacy-respecting analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individuals) to understand overall page traffic. If we do, we will update this policy and clearly note which tool is in use. We will never use Google Analytics or any tracking-based analytics service.
4. Cookies and Browser Storage
QRGenPlus does not set any first-party cookies for tracking, analytics, personalisation, or any other purpose. We do not use localStorage or sessionStorage to save your QR content between sessions. Every time you open QRGenPlus, you start with a completely clean, empty tool.
Third-party cookies: Google AdSense (our advertising partner) may set third-party cookies on your device to serve personalised advertisements. These cookies are set by Google, not by QRGenPlus, and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or via the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool.
5. Google AdSense (Advertising)
QRGenPlus is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. This allows us to keep the QR generator free for everyone. Google AdSense may:
- Use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your interests.
- Track your visits across websites to build an interest profile used for ad personalisation.
- Use the DoubleClick cookie to measure ad effectiveness.
QRGenPlus does not share any personally identifiable information with Google AdSense. Google may independently collect data about your device and browsing behaviour in accordance with their own privacy policy. 6. Third-Party CDN Resources
To deliver our web application efficiently, QRGenPlus loads a small number of resources from third-party CDN (Content Delivery Network) providers. When your browser requests these resources, those providers may log your IP address as part of standard CDN operation:

QRGenPlus does not share any of your QR content, personal information, or behavioural data with these CDN providers. Your browser simply downloads static asset files (CSS, JavaScript, fonts) from them in the same way it downloads assets from any website.
7. Hosting — Cloudflare Pages
QRGenPlus is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a static site hosting platform. As part of their infrastructure operation, Cloudflare may collect and process standard HTTP request data including IP addresses, request timestamps, URLs, and HTTP status codes. This data is used by Cloudflare for DDoS protection, traffic analysis, and service reliability. QRGenPlus does not have access to individual visitor logs from Cloudflare. 8. GDPR — European Union Users
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you specific rights regarding your personal data. Because QRGenPlus collects essentially no personal data through its core tool, most GDPR obligations are satisfied by design:

10. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
QRGenPlus is committed to protecting children's privacy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. Since our tool collects no personal data from users of any age, it is safe for children to use under parental supervision. 11. Data Security
Because QRGenPlus does not store your personal data or QR content on any servers, the risk of a data breach exposing your information is effectively eliminated for the core QR generation functionality. The QR codes you generate exist only in your browser's memory and, once you close the tab or navigate away, are permanently gone. We recommend downloading your QR code if you wish to keep it, as we have no ability to retrieve or restore a QR code generated in a previous session.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Does QRGenPlus collect any personal data?
No. QRGenPlus collects absolutely zero personal data. There are no user accounts, no login systems, no analytics trackers, and no backend servers that receive your information. Every QR code is generated entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. The content you type never leaves your device.
Does QRGenPlus use cookies?

Is QRGenPlus GDPR compliant?

Can my WiFi password be intercepted when I use the WiFi QR generator?
No. Your WiFi credentials are processed exclusively inside your browser's JavaScript engine. They are never transmitted over any network connection to any server, API, or third party. The only place your password exists is encoded inside the QR code image rendered locally on your screen. Once you close the tab, it is gone.
What happens to my QR code after I download it?
Your downloaded QR code is a local PNG file saved to your device. QRGenPlus has no copy of it, no record that you created it, and no ability to track what QR codes you have generated. Once the file is on your device, it belongs entirely to you.
